Campus Focus
We are in our 4th week of school already!! We will have our second PLC this week, progress reports are are being sent home to parents, and we are making huge strides!
As we interact with each other, parents, community, and more importantly, students - lets continue to remember our 3 Campus Focus areas that will drive us to the next level this year.
1 - Student Achievement
2 - Our Brand, what does Preston Hollow IB Look Like
3 - High Performance Culture
These three focus areas should drive our decisions, our craft and work, and push us towards new innovations. EVERY idea that moves us forward in one or more of these areas will be accepted and implemented. As we continue to grow and improve, it will be focused on those three concepts. Let's hold each other accountable and we will all succeed.
Onward!

Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
September 10th - Test in Hand. Please arrive with your Common Assessment test in hand. We will review questions, TEKS, and have discussions about next steps over the 2 weeks ahead to ensure high leverage actions towards success.
September 17th - DOL Exemplars. During this PLC, please bring a completed DOL that is an exemplar of a TEKS Standard that is being assessed on the Common Assessment. This exemplar should encompass the level of the TEKS. Please be prepared to share the percent of students who met Mastery level on it, the actual student work on the DOL, and your next step (reteach this standard to the whole class, small group reteach to specific students, or moving forward).
Teacher Shout-Outs!!
Our first PLC focused on Small Group Instruction; how it is planned, prepared, student groupings, and the number of times students will meet with the teacher according to their student need.
Last week, several members of the leadership team intentionally observed who was caught doing small groups - and MANY teachers have already been observed utilizing them. However, one teacher came up often that was doing small groups frequently, A Huge Shout Out to 3rd Grade Ms. Morales!
You have utilized small group instruction and have a variety of activities for students at each independent student station.
As a Thank You, you will receive the Principal Parking Spot on:
