FLEX TIME GUIDELINES Spring 2019
As a result of the snow days this year, the district is making adjustments to professional staff members' calendars. Teachers have two days that must be made up in order to reach the 191 days per the contract. For one of these days, teachers will be able to "flex" out. The remaining snow make up day for professional staff will occur on June 10. The specifics of this day will be communicated at a later date.
Please see the attached document that specifies the criteria that must be met in order to count time as flex time. In addition, acceptable tasks are provided. Please note that principals and/or directors will need to verify how you intend to use the time before and after completion of the hours. If you have any questions about acceptable uses of time, please converse with your building principal.
The attached form must be completed, signed, and sent to me by May 28, 2019. Forms should be submitted to Mr. Vorhis office, only after all hours have been accounted for. If flex time is not completed, a one day pay deduction will occur.
