MHS Updates
Welcome Back!
We hope all of our families had time to rest and recharge for a strong 2nd semester. There is plenty to celebrate, from academics to extra-curriculars. We look forward to experiencing these same successes in 2019!
School Goal: Increase Academic Proficiency/Decrease the percentage of F's and D's
Below, I have attached 1st semester grade data. Overall, students experienced a significant decrease in the total number of failing grades. The total number of students experiencing multiple failing grades also decreased. The total number of D's increased and our next step is to move these D's to C's.
Letter from Superintendent Dr. Dennis Runyan
Please read the attached letter from our superintendent. Several key details to take from the letter include:
- ID's are required to get on the bus, BOTH in the morning and after school. Currently, students only need an ID after school.
- It is highly encouraged that students wear their ID's.
- All staff are required to have their ID's visible.
Power Hour Schedule for this Week
The PH schedule will be slightly different this week as students have a fresh start and likely will not need to attend any intervention time. The expectation is that students follow this schedule for the week.

Congratulate the MHS girls soccer team for winning both tournaments they entered over the holiday break. The team dominated play in each of their games. We are excited to see what the remainder of the season brings.
