Neil Armstrong American Hero
Neil was one of the american hero role models. In page one, the article states,On July 20, 1969, Armstrong met the challenge when he stepped out onto the moon's surface. This means that he completed a difficult challenge.Neil Armstrong was born in Ohio on August 5, 1930. Armstrong was interested in flying from an early age. He took his first airplane ride at age 6. Armstrong learned to fly by age 16. In 1947, Armstrong entered Purdue University in Indiana. There, he studied aircraft engineering. Two years later, Armstrong's education was put on hold. The young pilot was called to serve in the Korean War. Between 1949 and 1952, Armstrong served as a pilot for the Navy. After his service ended, Armstrong returned to Purdue. He graduated in 1955. Then, in 1962, he became an astronaut for NASA. In August 2012, Armstrong died.
