Step 1: convert the mixed number into a improper fraction

Step 2: find the common denominator

Step 3: Multiply the nominator with same number you used to find out the denominator


22x8 = 176/40 , 15x5=75/40


step 4: Add them


176/40 + 75/40 =251/40
