Reading Race Time!
Last week we wrapped up our Boxtops Competition, collecting $1,540! While we didn't quite make our goal of $1,900, we still raised a lot of money for our school. Mrs. Elliott's class took first place with 1, 333, Mrs. Brock's class took second place with 1, 308, and Mrs. Volk's class took third place with 1,022. Thanks to all who participated!
We also completed the Kindness Challenge and are now working on adding our "leaves" to our kindness tree in the cafeteria. Next time you are picking up or dropping off, swing by to check it out!
Today marks the official kick-off of the Reading Race- time to start collecting reading minutes! The race will run through Thursday, April 12th this year and winners will be announced at our April PAWS Assembly on Friday, April 20th. Each week there are weekly winners from each class that will receive a NEW BOOK! The winning class this year (highest average minutes per student) will win a canvas painting class! Our school-wide goal is to top last year's minutes of 269,496 to win Popsicles at lunch. Looking forward to hearing about all the great books students are reading!
