About the Workshop:
Opinion, persuasive and argumentative writing are center stage in assessment and, therefore, instruction. While most teachers have always included this genre as part of their instruction, our students are now expected to do more of it and at a higher level of proficiency. In this workshop, participants will examine the differences between these three aspects as well as how to teach them in a manner that allows for greater success. We’ll also explore developing assignments that are geared to different audiences and use various formats.
