Welcome, Mr. Zach Osborne, to the Liberty Academy Family
Zach may or may not know it, but we have been trying to get him to come to Liberty Academy for the last three years. I knew he was serious when I saw his name come through my screen as an official applicant! When I interviewed Zach, I loved when he talked about finding that hook to get kids to engage in school. His special education background makes him another great utility player when it comes to teaching Algebra I, improving our students' reading and writing, and at the very core of what we do, building relationships with kids in a way that helps us co-construct learning with them.
Zach has been a special education teacher for LPS since 2010. He spent his first year at Alexander Doniphan Elementary, and has taught special education at Liberty North High School since 2011. Zach graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in special education. He also has a master's degree in Positive Coaching from Mizzou. Since 2011, Zach has also been an assistant boys tennis and soccer coach at Liberty North.
Zach lives in the Liberty area with his wife, Christine, and young daughter, Quinn.
