Try our reverse approach to the Lent this season

A Different Approach to Lent..

This year, instead of giving up something for Lent, try taking a different approach. As Luke 10:27 states, we are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. Try spending the Lenten season spending time enriching your heart, mind, body, and soul. Each week, we will offer different "classes" or opportunities for growth in each of these areas.

Of course all of these things still require some degree of “giving up”. If you attend one of these classes, you may have to “give up” some time you’d normally spend online, watching television, or attending another activity.

Don't worry about dinner!

We will offer dinner for $3 a person from 6:00 - 6:30 and then you can choose the class you would like to participate in from 6:30 - 8:00.

Something to think about...

In the end, Lent is not about a 40-day marathon of deprivation. It’s about looking inside, finding the places where we feel disconnected to God, and taking up the challenge of going deeper. It’s about walking with Jesus for forty days because we are so overwhelmed by his love for us. And, it’s about preparing for what is next. Because the empty tomb is not the finish line. It’s just the start of a long and wonderful journey. And Lent is a time to get ready.
