Warriors Pull it Out - They're Doing Finals Too!
It's Finals week for us, starting on Wednesday. Like the Warriors, we're ready to knock down a few more days of the year. Tomorrow (Tuesday), we have a celebration at Brewster's at 4pm.
Wednesday is the PTSA luncheon right after the final ends. Friday, we have the Ice Cream Social at 1pm, then Grad Practice to follow at 2pm. Come over to the Multi and spend some time with the seniors.
And Saturday morning, we ice the cake with Graduation at 10am. It'll all happen in a flash.
See Debi's email re graduation and take a look at the attached doc:

(Look out for a senior prank. If you hear of anything, let us know ASAP.)
Have a great week!
Prom-Fastic!
Last night at the Academy of Sciences, Petaluma HIgh students showed their stuff with a truly classy Senior Prom. Our students were decked out in beautiful long dresses and handsome tuxes. But more importantly, they danced, talked, ate, and roamed the aquarium and sights at the Academy with joy and laughter, celebrating the coming conclusion of a long, fruitful journey together. I've never been so proud of the school and the students. And let's not forget the awesome group of chaperones who took over the dance floor toward the end of the evening! You guys were tremendous!
Enormous credit to the ASB students who raised money during the last series of years to bring the cost of this event into reason. Nicole Walker and Madelyn King have been remarkable but it is the whole team that made it all happen. Mr. Jackson and Mr. Aja, the guides on the side, are the pros at making sure this evening turns out great. Thanks also to the juniors who helped with coat check and are plotting next year's prom as we speak. Congrats to Prom King Riley Whisman and Prom Queen Juliana Roper! Well done, Trojans!

Jack London Award Winners!
Ms. O'Connor reports that five of our freshmen participated in the Jack London Foundation Short Story Contest this year. Writers are encouraged to "write in the style of" author Jack London, and hundreds of entries come from all over the country.
Honorable Mention certificates were awarded to Maleah Gibson, Tyler Keeler, Cali Sullivan, and Fernanda Vasquez. A Certificate of Merit was awarded to Annica Ford.
Each student wrote a story of 2000 or fewer words that was "judged on content and form with an emphasis on creativity." Further, from their website, "the Jack London Foundation encourages high school students to explore the spirit of Jack London...and hopes to provide the motivation and stimulus that will enable students to develop their full potential as writers." Congratulations to all our participants!
