Do I have Radon
Radon poisoning symptoms resemble those of lung cancer: a persistent cough that doesn't get better, difficulty breathing, chest pains, the coughing up of blood, wheezing, hoarseness and recurring respiratory infections such as pneumonia or bronchitis. People believe Radon can increase your chance of getting lung cancer. Radon is similier to smoking but said to be worse for you.
The Goverment
The EPA recommends fixing your home if measured indoor levels of radon are 4 or more epicures per liter of air. The EPA also notes that radon levels less than 4 pCi/L still pose a health risk and can be reduced in many cases. If indoor radon levels need to be reduced, the EPA recommends using a certified radon mitigation specialist to ensure that appropriate methods are used to reduce radon levels. 'We have yet another reason to be concerned about understanding exposure related to the hydraulic fracturing procedures,” says environmental toxicologist Bernard Goldstein, a professor emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health
