Meet our new librian
Mrs. Huff loves our students
Welcome to Mrs. Huff, our new JHCS librarian
I was born and raised in Independence, Missouri. After graduating high school I moved to Logan, Utah and attended Utah State University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I then moved to Las Vegas where I taught second grade for 8 years. While teaching in Las Vegas I also earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Lesley University.
I left teaching when my daughter was born and I have kept busy over the years raising my 3 children who are; 13, 11, and 8. I also snuck in a little time for myself and was able to train and run 5 half marathons and 1 marathon. I love to read, hike, and travel to the beach any chance I get.
My children have been privileged to attend John Hancock since 2011. During that time I have served on the PTO as the fundraising chair coordinator, planned reading week, volunteered for lunch duty, helped weekly with kindergarten centers, helped with reading in first and second grade, driven for several field trips, and volunteered in the library, among many other things. I look forward to continuing my service at John Hancock as the new librarian.
According to Albert Einstein, “The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library.” So be sure to stop by and check out the library and be sure to say hi!
