Kindergarten Connection for 2023-24 School Year Scheduled for Thursday, February 23

Kindergarten Connection will give families the opportunity to get their kindergarten students registered in the School District of Washington for the 2023-24 school year. The event will take place on Thursday, February 23, at the student’s school of residence from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Click here for the story.

Family Reading Night Scheduled for Friday, March 3

Let’s get together and READ! The Community Literacy Foundation, in partnership with the School District of Washington, Washington Public Library and Friends of the Library, and the Washington Optimist Club, will host Family Reading Night on Friday, March 3, at Washington Middle School. Laubinger, Kresse Place First at Washington Middle School Spelling Bee

Washington Middle School held its spelling bee on Thursday, January 19. Jade Kresse was the seventh-grade winner of the spelling bee. Jackson Laubinger was the winner of the eighth-grade spelling bee. Both Kresse and Laubinger spelled 23 of 25 words correctly. Click here for the story.
