CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Hot off the press, Auch construction confirmed that yes, indeed, the whiteboards and tackboards will be removed during Spring Break!

Please plan to have everything removed from whiteboard, bulletin boards located on either side of whiteboards, and anything on wall removed by Spring Break. Remember, your items will be covered with a tarp and put back in place. However, if there is something special or fragile, you might want to be proactive and put it in a safe place.

The crews have been busy prepping for the new generators, installing cabling in the ceilings, power boxes, etc. There will also be some repairs to spots where televisions were removed. The clocks are set to correct time but the bells are not in use due to if we set the bells, they are not able to turn off. Small price for big tech improvement!

Please let me know if you have any questions and I will pass along to AUCH.

HEADS UP! TECHNOLOGY WARNING

CHROMEBOOKS: They need to be updated for MSTEP testing. Tech department and high school interns will be checking all of the Chromebooks to make sure that they are ready for the Mstep. I'm hearing from Amy Mitchell that some Chromebooks are showing the older version of the test and need to be wiped. A final date, sometime next week, is pending based on WIDA testing. Hang tight int he meantime!

SAFARI MONTAGE: Immediately following Spring Break, regardless of construction phase, old AV carts will NO LONGER be able to broadcast and/or receive cable signal via TV.

Safari Montage will be the only option for video retrieval of both cable channels and video announcements.

SKYWARD/DISTRICT INTERNET SERVICES: will not be accessible from Sun. Apr. 3rd – Mon. Apr. 6th. I wanted to give you the heads up to plan for this because report cards are due the Monday we return from Spring Break (Apr. 11th). The marking period ends March 24th and Family Access closes on that date, too.

NEW LAPTOPS: In an effort to prepare for the new laptops, be sure to start saving your work files to h: drive and personal files to another medium like dvd, usb drive, etc. This will help ensure none of your files are lost in the transition. There will be a checkout sheet with detailed information coming soon, but I want to give you the heads up now.
