Its war

The Vietnam war was the prolonged struggle between nationalist forces attempting to unify the country of Vietnam under a communist Goverment , and the united states wanted to stop the spread of Communisum. U.S. troops fought a jungle war, mostly against the well supplied Vietcong. It was very hard to find the Vietnam army cause they use underground tunnels to escape or to get somewhere.

Some people called the war the American war in Vietnam. At the time the Vietnamese Forces were not as advance as the U.S. The united states had 75 tactical air bases, and 26 hospitals in Vietnam. In 1969 Richard Nixon became the new president of the united states of america and one of his plans were to get the U.S. out of the Vietnam war. And in 1973 president Nixon ordered the U.S. Forces to withdraw from the Vietnam war.

More than 500,000 U.S. military personals were involved in the Vietnam war. The united states fought a jungle war over there in Vietnam. Another reason why we were over there was to help the south Vietnam beat the north Vietcongs.
