Volume 2 ~ Issue 14~ Week of October 29, 2023

The Viking Spotlight is the part in my weekly newsletter used to highlight and celebrate our students and staff anytime we can! If you would like your child acknowledged for something they have accomplished, whether on campus or off-campus, please feel free to fill out this google form HERE. I look forward to celebrating our Vikings and all of the great things they are doing!

Message from the Principal πŸ’›

First, I'd like to take a minute to give a shout out to Mrs. Portaro and the ASB for an awesome week of activities last week! From the spirit week to lunch activities to our, first ever, Fall Festival and Haunted House to the Halloween rally, it was a week of fun at MVA! πŸ€— Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication in making those events happen! But, the fun didn't stop there! Be sure to come out to participate in lunch activities on Monday to earn stamps so you can participate in the Trick-or-Treat activity at lunch on Tuesday. πŸ¬πŸŽƒπŸ«

On Friday, Progress Report #2 was sent home. It is important that parents/guardians sit down and review the grades your child earned and make a plan for the remaining five weeks of school before Final Exams. It is the home stretch of the semester so the hope is that all students finish strong! Check out the Counseling Center's, Keys to Viking Success flyer posted below for tips on how to succeed! We can do this, Vikings! πŸ’›

Lastly, I want to give a shout out to our baseball ⚾ and JV basketball πŸ€ teams on all of their efforts this season! This was the first full season for both teams and I'm so proud of all of you! πŸ’› Best of luck to our softball and varsity basketball teams this Saturday as they enter playoffs! πŸ€—

Have any suggestions for Music Monday songs? 🎀 Send me an email and I'll add it to my playlist! Congrats to Mr. Ezell's Advisory for winning Week 13's Music Monday! πŸ€— Is your Advisory going to win this week? 🎢

Let's make it a great week, Vikings!!

Take care,

Ms. Scott
