Lucy's Last 2017-2018 Library Blast
May 21, 2018
Updated End of Year Tech Info!
- Back up your laptop even if you are taking it home for the summer. Do this on an external hard drive or flash drive.
- If a teacher plans to move to another school within the district, they will take their district-issued laptop with them, and they’ll need to let the TSS and inventory contact at their new location know what they have. If they have school-funded equipment, e.g. Title I, school-based grants, etc. or if they are leaving the district, that equipment will need to be turned-in before they leave.
- As long as you are not leaving the district I will go in and renew your annual check out.
- If you want to keep your laptop or iPad cart in your room over the summer, make sure you are able to secure it to something that can't be moved such as a pipe. (think bicycle locks) If you are using a padlock with a personal code or key to lock the cart, make sure to leave the code or key with Ms Dixon.
- Regardless of whether you return or keep your cart, if you want it again next year be sure to LABEL IT WITH YOUR NAME.
- If you want to return your cart, please do so by the end of the day on the 24th.
- If you are changing rooms please don't take items from your original room. This includes desktops, printers, phones, projectors, remote controls, and yes, even Ladybugs, which should either be returned or secured in a closet or cabinet.
- Questions? Email me or stop by.
Battle of the Books
Well, they did it. They made West End proud by beating 30 teams from MNPS middle schools to win the Battle of the Books. They worked hard, had fun, and got to ride in a limo! We are so lucky in Nashville to have the wonderful support and funding of Nashville Public Library.
School-Wide Summer Read
The school-wide summer read for this year is Restart by Gordon Korman.
