No School December 20--31

December 20-31 -- Winter Break

Monday, January 3 -- School Resumes

Extra Masks Please

Please pack an extra mask for your student. With the recent allowance to remove masks at recess, several students are losing or breaking their masks. They can also get soggy throughout the day, especially during recess and classes such as PE. We have a small supply here at school, but it would be helpful if you could pack an extra mask for your student in their backpack. Thanks.

Coffee With The Principal

Principal, Monica Arbow, will be hosting virtual Coffee with the Principal chats during months when there aren't NRCO meetings, which are December, February, and April. Coffee with the Principal is an informal opportunity to hear school updates and to ask general questions about Nancy Ryles. See below for upcoming dates. A Zoom link will be sent out the day prior to the event.

December 14: 9:30 a.m.

February 15: 9:30 a.m.

April 12: 9:30 a.m.

Community Conversations Around Race

We are excited to announce that the third annual Community Conversations Around Race will be held virtually on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Hosted by Southridge High School, in partnership with the Office of Equity and Inclusion, this year’s event will continue to center and elevate student voices in our efforts to collaboratively develop our racial literacy.

Similar to last year’s, this year’s event aims to offer a variety of breakout sessions that highlight district and community efforts to increase our understanding of the multitudes of intersections that accompany a focus on race, racism, and antiracism. We also hope to once again center our student voices and experiences in our keynote event. Please see the "Save the Date" below and stay tuned for session information in the coming weeks.
