Friends and family will be invited to watch a performance on December 12th. We will perform a showcase of what was learned throughout the semester at that time.
These classes are offered to grades 4-7 and begin the week of September 11.
The cost for the semester is $250. This includes weekly class (with the exception of one week I will be out of town and school holidays) and a showcase performance at the end of the semester. This is a flat semester rate.

About the Teacher:
Allison Barron Brandon is an alumnae of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she studied Performing Arts- Theatre and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Upon completing college she went to NYC to study at SpringboardNYC with the American Theatre Wing. She realized then that although she has a deep passion for theatre, she would miss the south too much if she lived in New York. She moved to New Orleans in 2008 to pursue professional theatre while remaining in South Louisiana. Her local theatre credits include Let Freedom Swing at the WWII Museum (Lorna Baker),Shine! with Hal Linden & Main Street Musicals (Ensemble), The Drowsy Chaperone at Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre (Janet Van De Graaff), and The Wedding Singer at Le Petit Theatre (Holly). In addition to performing, Mrs. Brandon loves teaching. She wanted to understand the business aspects of performing arts, so she completed her Master's in Arts Administration at University of New Orleans in 2012. She began teaching theatre last year at Holy Name of Jesus as part of their after-school program. She is expanding to Mid City Theatre in hopes to reach youth throughout the city. In 2012 she attended the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University where she found an even deeper love of musical theatre. Cabaret* is now one of Mrs. Brandon's main focuses, as well as continuing to perform in musicals and teach locally.
*Cabaret is a form of entertainment featuring music, comedy, song, dance, recitation or drama.
