It is only $5 for a membership. Our next event will be a EBIS Family Bingo Night on Thursday, Oct. 13th at 6:00pm. See below for more information. It will be a fun night! All PTSA events help to raise much needed funds for field trips and student events throughout the year. Hope to see you there!

EBIS Family Bingo Night!

Thursday, Oct. 13th, 6:00PM in the EBIS Cafteria! Doors open at 5:45 and games will start right at 6:00PM. The Yummm Truck will be in attendance with treats starting at just one dollar and Mrs. Schiavone's Sherbet Punch will be back as well. We are going to do a Halloween Costume exchange. Feel free to donate gently used costumes. These costumes may be dropped off to the Main Office anytime between now and the event, or you can bring the costume that night. Then feel free to shop for free secondhand costumes for your little ones after Bingo. We hope you will join us for this fun family event!

Student Work

This week students in Ms. Torres' class made stop motion interactive maps, check it out below!

Our House System

Our Houses will be meeting this week during WIN time. 6th graders will meet on Wednesday and 5th graders on Friday. During this time, Houses will be learning more about their House Crest. They will also be learning and practicing their House Cheer. Stay tuned in future newsletters to see our students performing these cheers! Houses will also introduce the community service project concept and begin brainstorming ideas. Each house will be responsible to complete at least one service project this school year. It could entail activities like cleaning up around the school, or helping raising funds for a local charity. If you know of any community groups that could use assistance from our students, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Schiavone, 478-4522. Please ask your child about their House later this week!

Our PAWS Program

PAWS stands for Postivie Attitudes Will Succeed! It is a point system where classes can earn "paws"(yellow paws printed on paper) for doing the right thing. After classes collect a certain number of "paws", they are able to draw a special treat from their PAWS bucket. Our one rule is that student may not ask for a paw! Asking for a paw automatically removes you from obtaining a paw. Our PAWS are also aligned with our 4 expectations at EBIS:

Practice Kindness (BE KIND)

Act Respectfully (BE RESPECTFUL)

Work Responsible (BE RESPONSIBLE)

Safety First (BE SAFE)

Several classrooms have now reached 5 PAWS!!! They will be able to select a reward from their "class bucket" this week. The next level will be 15 total PAWS. We are so excited to see all the 'Paws'itive things happening at EBIS!
