Fourth Grade News
Week of October 24th
Field Trip Fun!
On Friday, the fourth graders traveled by bus to see the production of Seussical at the JPAS. One of our own, James Favor, was in the production and did a fantastic job! Bravo James! The students should be commended on their good behavior during the field trip. They were a respectful and a polite audience. After the musical we traveled to Lafreniere park in Metaire where we had a picnic lunch, played games, and completed two team building exercises.

Our wonderful room moms have sent out a sign up sheet for games, pizza, and treats. Please help out if you can. It will be a dress down day for the students, they will wear their shirts they are creating in class along with dress down bottoms.
Dress Down Day Tomorrow!!
Jack Henry DeGeorge is our Lower School director for the day and he has declared that tomorrow is a free dress down day for all Lower School students.
Reading
Our reading groups have begun working on their shirt projects. Students are decorating the front and back of their white shirts to reflect what they have read of The Witches by Roald Dahl. Some groups have done a novel study of the book while other groups have read the novel aloud with their teacher. The front of the shirt will have their interpretation of the cover while the back will reflect various way to identify a real witch. This is a fun project that has become a tradition for fourth grade students at StG.
