Do you have a Clue?
Wayland Middle School 8th graders played a Breakout EDU game using clues from Romeo & Juliet, a unit they are studying in their language arts class. Breakout EDU is similar to the popular Escape Room game where a group of friends are locked in a room and need to solve a series of puzzles in order to break out. Breakout EDU is similar but uses a locked box instead of a room and teaches critical thinking, teamwork, and complex problem solving. The game can be used for all subject areas. Kelly Boston, WMS Media Specialist, created clues that student teams needed to solve the puzzles that unlock the case. Students had a lot of fun working together and enjoyed the different learning experience the game provides.
