The Delaware Positive Behavior Support (DE-PBS) Project, a partnership between the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) and the University of Delaware’s Center for Disabilities Studies, is pleased to share with the Red Clay Consolidated School District an invitation to participate in the 2023 Delaware School Climate Surveys (DSCS). These surveys are available to public schools statewide through an online platform surveying students, staff and/or families provides valuable information on perceptions of school climate as well as student engagement, social-emotional competencies, and more.

Research indicates school climate is linked to a wide range of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for students including increased academic achievement and motivation, lower rates of behavior problems, and greater sense of emotional well-being. In 2022 over 43,000 students, 6,500 staff and almost 7,000 families from 19 LEAs responded to the DSCS yielding robust data reports for use in decision making by LEAs and schools.
