LEAD Presents: Cycles for Change
Support the Farmworkers of Watsonville
BIKE DRIVE 2013
Latino Empowerment at De Anza (LEAD) is working with ICS and EWRT classes on campus to collect bicycles and bicycle parts for the use of Farmworkers in Watsonville. Watsonville is located in the heart of Central California and is home to many Farmworkers and agricultural families. Oftentimes, bicycles are these families only means of transportation. Our bicycle donations will go to the Watsonville Brown Beret Bike Shack, where they will be refurbished and distributed to local Farmworkers. These bikes will not only provide reliable transportation to these individuals, but also promote healthy living in their community. Our bike drive collection schedule is listed below. All bicycles and bicycle parts will be collected in the Main Quad.
