Zombie Outbreak Guide
Know exactly where to go in an emergency like this.
Figure out the best and worst places to go in case of a zombie apocalypse.
Ever thought, " Where should I go in a zombie apocalypse?" here are some ideas of the 8 regions in North America that are the safest and the places that you find...nobody...but zombies, and rethink your idea of running every which way.
Here are our options
The Canadian Shield
The Boreal Forest in the Canadian Shield is a good place to go in case of a zombie apocalypse. This forest has many rivers as escape routes, rock formations to look out on, and trees to climb in case of emergency. It's wrapped around the Hudson Bay so if things get very critical, you can always escape through the Bay. There are lots of ways to get supplies such as fish or small mammals. I would rate this region as an 8. The reason it is not a 10 is because it is a bit far away from the other regions in North America, and can get quite cold in the winter. Though it's not a 10, the Canadian Shield is a very good region to escape to.
Interior Lowlands
The key feature of the Interior Lowlands in a zombie apocalypse would be The Mississippi River. The Mississippi River flows through the Interior Lowlands and empties out in to the Gulf of Mexico. This is a ideal spot because you can easily escape from an emergency, if you go north you can also end up near the Canadian Shield as I explained before is a good region in this situation. This region is in the middle of the country so you can go east if there is an outbreak on the west and vice versa. This overall region also has lots of other river features to escape through, and many trees to provide supplies. These rivers are very important, you can (other than escape), catch dinner, or get supplies from other regions. These rivers also empty in to The Great Lakes, which can make it in to the ocean, so you can travel to other regions in case of outbreaks in the area. Lastly, there are rolling hills so it's very easy to hide or get rid of zombies. I rate this region a 7. The only reason it is not rated a 10 is because there are lots of mountains neighboring The Interior Lowlands so you will have to climb over these ranges to get to the region farthest away from the outbreak.
Coastal Plains
The Coastal Plains feature, The Everglades, lies in the eastern most region that is next to the Atlantic Ocean. The Everglades is a large portion of the southern part of Florida (in the Coastal Plains). This region is marshy, and has lots of small lakes, ponds, and rivers. It is also prime location for predators like alligators. The Coastal Plains also has long, sandy beaches that are hard to run on from a zombie apocalypse, and there is nearly nowhere to hide. I rate this region lowly at a 3 because you don't have too many rivers to get to another region with, except for the Atlantic Ocean. You also don't have lots of supplies you need to survive, like fresh water, or rivers to get goods from. Try to escape going here in a zombie outbreak.
