Comets take less than 200 years to orbit the sun. They take 30-55 AU to orbit Neptune. They around the icy region also known as Kuiper Belt by neptune.

Halley's varies to make one full orbit is up to 2.2 to 7.4 earth days. Takes 76 years to make a full orbit around the sun. Halley's comet returns to Bayeux Tapestry the year of 1066, Which chronicles the overthrow of King Harald.
What are they?
Comets are cosmic snowballs of frozen gas, and rock and gas. Comets do not have moons. Comets don't have rings either. Comets warm up as they get closer to the sun and develops an atmosphere. They are brighter than a full moon.
