Changes to Arrival/Dismissal
Changes in Walk-Up Dismissal
Pre-K 3 & 4 Morning Drop-off Procedure
Pre-K parents have the option of dropping their children off in carline like the rest of the school or walking them into the classrooms beginning at 7:45 a.m. and ending promptly at 8:00 a.m. Please note that if you choose to walk them to their classrooms then you must park in the far right parking lot by the blue building in order to not block the morning carline. You should proceed down the main thoroughfare of the campus all the way to the end, and then turn right to enter the furthest point of the lot. Please do not drive through the parking lot where the carline is lined up. Please see the map below for clarification. Please walk your children through the parking lot closest to the school building and enter through the front doors of the school building, which will be opened at 7:45 a.m. Also note that if you have older children then you must drop off your Pre-K child and proceed to the Parish Hall and have them in line by 8:00 a.m. All parents must be done dropping off their children to the rooms by 8:00 a.m. You will not be permitted to remain in the hallway past that time or allowed to go down the hallway after 7:55 a.m. An assistant will take your child if you arrive past 7:55 a.m. Please note that the front doors will be closed promptly at 8:00 a.m. and your child will be tardy past that time if you walk-up.

Important Information for Arrival and Dismissal
- Please email your child's homeroom teacher by Sun., Aug. 28 to let them know if they will be a car rider or walker. This will help to have a speedy dismissal.
- Only families with students in Pre-K 3 and 4 should park in the back right parking lot and walk on the side of the building to the front doors. All students grades K and up should enter through the main entrance of the Parish Hall.
- Please remember to look for staff members to direct you in car line.
- All parents and visitors should exit the Parish Hall immediately after morning assembly. This is imperative to begin our morning classes, such as P.E., as well as to ensure the safety of all of our students.
Handbook and IT Agreements
If you haven't already, please be sure to return the Parent-Student Handbook and Technology Acceptable Use Policy agreements to your child's homeroom teacher.
Extracurricular Activities
Chorus Redemptoris
Any 5th and 6th grade students interested in being a cantor for the school liturgies must contact Ms. Addis. Cantors will lead the music during the weekly school liturgies.
Lego League
Lego League will meet on Tuesdays after school until 4:30 p.m. It will start mid-September and run through the first week in December. The number of students allowed to participate in LEGO League will depend on the number of volunteers. We need two volunteers for every six students. Once we close registration, we will let you know if your child will be able to attend LEGO League this year.
Learn more and fill out the registration form on the Lego League page of our website. Registration will end on Aug. 31.
Solider for Christ Karate
**PLEASE NOTE: Karate is offered through Ty's Karate. This is not a program of CtRCS; therefore, any questions about the program or registration process should be directed to Tyler Sowers at tyskarate@gmail.com or 832-651-9533.
VIRTUS - a requirement for all volunteers
Preventing child sexual abuse is the goal of the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Office. “Protecting God’s Children’s” is the program selected by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston to educate volunteers, staff, and clergy who work with children and youth on the ways to create a safe environment for children. The 3-hour live session includes videos and facilitated discussions that focus on the prevention of abuse and the protection of children. You will learn about steps that the faith community can take to create a safe environment for all God’s children and how to respond when adults behave in a way that raises concerns.
“Protecting God’s Children” workshops are being held at Christ the Redeemer, other parishes in our area, and throughout Houston. To find and register for a workshop, all are REQUIRED to pre-register and create your account online at www.virtusonline.org. When pre-registering for the class, YOU MUST USE YOUR NAME and DATE OF BIRTH as it appears on your driver's license, ID, or passport.
All workshop sessions have limited space and fill up quickly. If a workshop is full, walk-ins will not be allowed to attend. Christ the Redeemer will be hosting the workshop “Protecting God’s Children” on Sept. 19, Oct. 3 and Nov. 7. We strongly recommend that you consider locations other than Christ the Redeemer if you would like to attend a workshop sooner or if our sessions are full.
If you have any questions or think you may have taken this workshop but are unsure, please email Margaret Carnicle at margaret.carnicle@ctrcc.com.
Christ the Redeemer Catholic School thanks you for volunteering and giving us your time and talent to help grow our children in Christ.
