Character Education Writing Contest
March – Honesty
Each month we will offer students an opportunity to write about the chosen character theme relating to working, respecting, and belonging. This month the character trait is honesty and this is the prompt.
Honesty means telling the truth and acting in a truthful way by not cheating or stealing.
We all make mistakes. Tell about a mistake you made. Did you tell the truth?
How did you feel after telling the truth?
K-2 Teachers/Parents: The main criteria for entries are…
Make sure you have at least one complete sentence answering the question (this may be dictated to a teacher/parent who writes it for the student).
Both the writing and the picture should be neat.
The picture should be colorful and detailed.
There will be a winner chosen from each grade level. The winner will receive $10.00 worth of books and a ribbon. Winning entries will be displayed next to the Cooper office. Entries need to be turned in to Ms. Thompson by Friday, March 29th and winners will be announced Monday, April 1st.
