Jags are on the Move!

Hello Jag Families,

This month we start our tennis and track seasons. Come out and support our Jags as they present their athletic abilities at the tennis court and on the track field.

This month is filled with reasons to celebrate. Remember to take time to acknowledge the contributions African Americans have made to our country as it is African American History Month. If you would like more information, please visit any of the multiple websites available including, but not limited to the following opportunities to remember and celebrate here in Houston: https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/arts-culture/2020/02/05/359692/copy-of-15-ways-to-celebrate-african-american-history-month-in-houston/.

Also, remember to love your heart as this is American Heart Health Month. The American Heart Association is the oldest and largest voluntary health organization. Its purpose is to help prevent America's No. 1 and No. 4 killers, heart disease and stroke. The AHA promotes good health, funds cutting-edge research and provides professional education programs.

Alana Guzman is an 8th grade student who displays all of the characteristics of a World Class Jag. She excels in her classes, especially science, and she always works hard. She puts extra effort into everything she does. She is a leader both in and out of the classroom. Not only is she a cheerleader and a member of the basketball team at Sartartia but she also plays soccer outside of school. During her free time, Alana likes to clean and organize, go shopping, and read. Alana has many goals for the future, including becoming a nurse. She is an amazing student and person and will be a great success!
