CSA Lincoln 6th Grade
Week of January 5th
Welcome back everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful and restful break!
We would also like to welcome back Mrs. Burbrink!!
-Homework packets went home on Tuesday. Packets are due on this coming Friday. The material in the packet is taken from what we will be covering throughout the week.
-In math stations, we are working on translations, rotations, and reflections, as well as points on a coordinate grid.
-In our PODS, we will be working on the Industrial Revolution, making congruent figures, why we should practice healthy behaviors, and researching myths for our next PBL project.
-Zero Heroes: The 5th and 6th grade project managers have been working hard coming up with ways to measure and give classrooms feedback on their recycling efforts, including a "recycle-gram" modeled after the huskygrams. Volunteers have been collecting paper on Thursdays from all the classrooms.
-Myth Busters: We will be having a kick-off for our Myth Busters project next week!
Testing this week
- Friday- spelling test
- We need glue sticks!!! Please check with your child about their glue supply.
-Please send in a cheap pair of headphones for your child! It is very important that they have these, as our spelling tests and many of our station/pod activities require them!
