A message from the principal
Oxbow Creek Families,
It was another fabulous school year. I feel like I say this every year, but this was one of my favorite years ever. The truth is: I love what I do and truly enjoy every school year! This group of students is so special. They have shown kindness and compassion to their classmates and worked to prove they are capable of doing hard things. Learning is hard work and learning to persevere through challenges is one of the trickiest parts of learning to be a good student. Please join me in applauding and supporting hard work and effort, in addition to accomplishments. Learning isn't about things being easy; it requires learners to dig deep and push through when things don't come as easily.
We are all lucky to be part of such a caring school community. Our students are surrounded by adults (at home, in the community and in this school) who work diligently to support the growth and well-being of each child. From volunteers to teachers, paras to child nutrition staff, parents to office staff, this community makes the difference. Thank you for working with us to support your child's academic, social and emotional growth. We feel fortunate to have great partners in this rewarding work. Please, do your best to imbed learning opportunities into each day. Try setting a daily reading goal of at least 20 minutes and don't forget to access our summer math calendar (info below). Have a wonderful summer! Take care.
