No School on Monday, April 1

Forward Exams for Grades 3-5

In April, all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the Forward Exam, which is the standardized test that all students in grades 3-8 in Wisconsin take each year. Test dates for Lakeview students are:

3rd grade: April 8, 9, 10, 12, 15

4th grade: April 2, 3, 4, 8

5th grade: April 15, 17, 18

Note - this does not mean students are testing all day on these dates. They might only test for 40 minutes on each day, but we spread the tests over several days.

3rd and 5th grade students have tests in the areas of English Language Arts and math. 4th grade takes those tests plus science and social studies. Please be sure your child has a working pair of headphones at school for the test. You can also help by making sure your child gets plenty of sleep, a good breakfast on testing days, and some recreation outside each evening. Students who are absent on testing days need to make up tests, which can lead to them missing more instruction. Please have your students in school unless they are truly ill.

Spring Calendar

Do you have the school district's calendar available for easy reference? With Spring break and other days off coming up, be sure you know which days students do not have school in April and May.
