Ella's Excellent Toddlers!
Two weeks ago we learned about turkeys and things that are brown. All the kids were big fans of having 7 teddy bears in our classroom, but to my surprise were underwhelmed when I mentioned chocolate as one of our brown items. We had lots of fun playing with our big turkey poster and taking all the colorful feathers on and off. They did an awesome job bringing me each color I asked for! They have really started to enjoy "reading" books alone and to each other, so as you'll see in the photos we did quite a lot of that!
I am SO glad so many of you were available for our little party last week! It was so fun having ya'll visit our class and watching you each with your little kiddos. I know they loved the extra time with their parents and I really appreciate you sharing a bit of your day with us. After the party, we continued with a Thanksgiving themed week and talked about things we are thankful for, what we want to eat for Thanksgiving, and I tried REALLY hard to teach them to say "pilgrim", so let me know if you hear any pilgrim-esque mumbles!
I hope you all have wonderful Thanksgivings and get to spend some time with the people you love most (and maybe even have some pie!). Thanks so much for being such an amazing bunch of people (both big and small) to work with. Your children make sure that I never have a day without laughter, and all your kind words of encouragement are a huge blessing. I am incredibly thankful that I get to be a little part of each of your worlds.
(Corrine and I also enjoyed watching her)
