A Note from the Interim Principal
Many thanks to all who helped make the 2016 Catholic Schools Week such a success at Holy Family! It was a wonderful week to recognize our gifts, talents and strengths as well as the wonderful community that is HFCS!
Things have not slowed down...
This has been a busy day at Holy Family Catholic School! We had a lovely morning assembly where we prayed together and worshiped through song. We also recognized many of our students who sold raffle tickets as we start our four-week countdown until Pot O' Gold.
Today we also had several Nolan Catholic High School teachers, coaches, and staff who engaged in a day of service (see pics below). They painted the trophy case, organized the donated uniforms closet, tallied our wine (over 105 bottles!) for the Wine Pull and then gave the teachers a little break by monitoring recesses. Just another of those days when I am reminded how wonderful the Diocese of Fort Worth is!
We now look forward to our Fat Tuesday parties tomorrow before we enter the season of Lent. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Veronica Tucker

Holy Family / Nolan Catholic Graduate Headed to the Olympic Trials!
Congrats to former Hornet and Viking, Liz Eder Northern, who has qualified for the Olympic trials in California next month for the marathon! Her first marathon was back in 2010 and since then she's run in about a half dozen of them, from San Antonio to the Twin Cities and Chicago to Japan. However, her love of running all started with Fort Worth's Cowtown Marathon. Only three of the 250 competitors will make the USA marathon team in Rio. "It's just great to go," Northern said. "I know that it's going to take a super Hail Mary and a shot to the moon to get on the Olympic team, but I kind of consider that I've hit my goal just to go." Let's cheer Liz on this February 13th! Run, Liz, Run!!!
