HTML o3o
Recap on what HTML is and how to do it!
What is HTML? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
HTML is mark-up language (the processing, definition and layout of a web page) however it isn't programming language. They use tags to tell the browser how the page should displayed that are usually displayed in angle brackets (<example>). Also, HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language! Remember this!
Text that's hyper! Same thing, right? (ง⚆╭͜ʖ╮⚆)ง
There's so many tags to remember but some of the main ones execute some important roles. To start a tag, they write it like this: <example> and to end one, they put this: </example> however some can close themselves.
<head> = states where the page begins and ends.
<title> = self explanatory, right?
<body> = where the page contents begins and ends.
<p> = states where new paragraphs of text begin and end.
<h1> = creates headers.
<img> = images *snap snap!*
What's it used for? ¯\_ツ_/¯
HTML is basically a set up for a web page. It is used to:
-set where text should be
-describe how text should look
-create hyperlinks
-embed images
-create sections in a page
What is HTML
Is that it? ᕙ(☉ᗜ☉)ᕗ
No! You can even view the coding on a web page by clicking the 'View Source' in options in the browser. Try it out on Google - there is so much to view! ヽ(✧ᗝ✧)ノ
Anyone with knowledge of it can create a web page, however they will not be on the internet unless they are uploaded to a server. They can be written in plain text editors - such as Notepad - and saved in a HTML file!
Blog sites such as Tumblr (huehue) are free platforms that allow the users to customise their blogs by editing the HTML.
