Night Entree
by: Maddie Martin
How did the camp life change the prinoners as a person? A family? And relationships with other human beings?
Concentration camp life changed the prisoners as a person because they shaved all their hair off, and took their clothes, they were nude and they were dehumanizing them. Elie mentioned that he felt like just a body or just a starving stomach. They were also forced to run in the cold wind with no clothes on, it seemed like they were treating them like animals in the concentration camps. When they were in the cattle car they had to be separated by different genders and that broke families apart. Nobody knew if they were ever going to see each other again! It tore apart alot of relationships and faimilies, people who go through the hard times, never think the same as they did before.
Some Themes in the Book
- Humans can be cruel and do inhumane things to each other.
