Team Building
As students are assigned new seats, team building activities, like Fan-N-Pick, let them learn about the people around them.
Class Building
Time is taken to have the class mix and interact in positive ways to continue to build a productive classroom environment.
Success Criteria
In social studies, the students generated a list of the qualities that made a successful presentation (or share out). This is the list from both classes combined and posted to help guide students with how they approach and complete the projects that show their learning.
Math Club is in full swing!
Students from 6th grade Math Club were seeing red when they walked around outside to use clues to duct tape to measure to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. Afterwards they add all the mixed numbers together to create the whole number 11.
Cycles Cycles Everywhere!
Students been working with their Tribe to discuss all the different kinds of cycles like the Water Cycle/Carbon Dioxide & Oxygen Cycle/Rock Cycle. We continue to learn how we can make a difference and help Conserve our Resources.
Welcoming Sayma to our class!
Everyone likes to feel special and for Sayma we did just that. When we learned that she would be joining our class the next day we quickly created a card and signed it with our special greeting to let her know how much we will enjoy having her join us at Sipley.
