The median annual wage of aircraft mechanics was $53,420 in May 2010. The top 10% earned over $72,250. Licensed aviation maintenance technicians are considered the vital link between aircraft manufacturers and the flying public.

INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION!

This course is offered as dual-credit through TCC. It is designed to teach students the theory of operation of aircraft frames, power plants, and avionics systems and associated maintenance and repair practices. The TCC curriculum is an approved Federal Aviation Administration program that trains students to become licensed aviation maintenance technicians.

Additional course work through TCC can lead to an Associate’s of Applied Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. This is the perfect way for a student to maximize their credits and time as they pursue high education in the form of a Bachelor’s Degree and on to a Master’s Degree.
