The difference between them.

Temporary Memory

As the name ‘temporary’ suggests, the memory does not store data for long. This is describe as volatile memory. When the computer is shut down before saving the data, the data will be lost. Therefore, users need to save data on the permanent storage devices regularly as they manage it to avoid loss. RAM is a form of temporary computer storage.

Permanent Memory

As the name 'permanent' suggest, the data is stored forever unless deleted by the user. This is described as none voiltile memory. When the computer is shut down, the memory is still stored. And when the computer is powered on, you can retrieve your stored data. An example of this would be the HDD, it stores data forever unless the user deletes that piece of data.
