The last few weeks of school have arrived. June is upon us and there are many exciting events that have just occurred or will happen soon. Life Skills Class Helps with Teachers' Lunches
Our staff enjoyed a lunch from Brynn Bradley on Thursday. The students in Mrs. James' class tallied the orders and counted money in preparation for the lunch. These life skills are so valuable!
Anyone who ordered had the option to enjoy their lunch together in the courtyard. This was an excellent way to build friendships, have conversations, and get away from our computers. The time together was enjoyed by all who participated.
New Band Equipment
Our band class has received new equipment including music stands, drum cases, tenor cover, crash cymbals, tenor sax, two euphoniums, bass clarinet, trombone, and a majestic vibraphone.

News from the Nurse's Office
Student health screenings are currently in progress by our school nurse, Mrs. Dreger. If your child is fully remote, and you wish for him/her to be screened this school year, please call or email our nurse to set up an appointment. Available time slots are Monday – Friday 1-3 pm. The nurse checks height, weight, and blood pressure; screenings are done for hearing, vision, and scoliosis (depending on age/grade of child). Mrs. Dreger can be reached at 856-853-0123 ext. 250 and/or kdreger@woodburysch.com
In addition, if you have received a vision referral letter in the mail, and taking your child to see an eye specialist would be a financial hardship, please contact Mrs. Dreger. There are coupons available for a free eye exam/free pair of glasses, and one of the participating providers is right here in Woodbury – Friedberg Eye Associates! In order to qualify for the coupon, the child cannot have any vision insurance/coverage. Your child’s vision health is very important If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.

TRACK:
Jr. High Track had an excellent season. We wanted to thank all the athletes for their determination and sportsmanship. Everyone worked hard and continued to improve throughout the season. The team supported one another, was eager to learn, and did an amazing job representing Woodbury in front of other teams, officials, and fans. The girls team went undefeated this season and both teams regularly set new school records. In the championship meet, Angie Burgess took 2nd in high jump with a PR of 4'4 and 1st in long jump breaking her previous school record with a jump of 15' 5.25". Jasuan Solomon took 1st in disc with a throw of 106' 8", shattering his previous school record. He also took first in shot with a throw 34' 0.5", again beating his previous school record. Woodbury took 2nd in the 4x100 thanks to Kamryn Scott, Kadeem Woods, Samier Pettit, and Jasuan Solomon. Athletes, thank you again for another great season. To the upcoming 7th and 8th graders, we look forward to having you out next spring and seeing you continue to improve. To the graduating 8th grade, we look forward to seeing you compete on the high school teams. We expect great things.
