Wiggin Street Parent Update
September 23, 2022
This has been a wonderful week with our Wiggin Street Kids! It is so important to us that students are happy to come to school and feel safe. It was nice to have Sheriff Cline stop by to spend time with us this afternoon. It was a great opportunity for the kids to get to know him, and it was nice to have his presence.
This week was Constitution Week, and we kicked it off with Delaney and Isla singing a song on the announcements. Mrs. Treber's class had a Constitution Day birthday party. Check out the video below!
Next week is Homecoming week at Mount Vernon High School, and we are celebrating with a Spirit Week. Check out this video from some of our 5th grade students about what students can wear next week to show spirit. We will have a whole school picture taken on Monday, so students are encouraged to wear red or any Wiggin Street Spirit Wear for the picture. The week will end with a Pep Rally on our playground with MVHS students.
Make sure you check out the PTO Update with ways to volunteer and information about Mumkin pick-up. There is also a form to fill out to be included in the student directory.
Have a wonderful weekend!

A is for Attitude. And your attitude MATTERS! At Thrive Kids we worked on recognizing the power of our attitude and how it can affect those around us. We can either use our attitudes to tear others down or lift them up! As leaders, our goal should be to help, protect, and inspire others and one way we can do this is being in control of our attitude.
Our movement focus for the week was on the 100m sprint. Students practicing different forms of breathing while they were running and learned how it can affect their running ability if they are not breathing appropriately!
Next week is week 4 and we will be discussing the importance of excellence!
L- look around to help, protect, and inspire
E- expect the best from those around you
A- attitude matters!
