Pre K for a Day for 3 Year Old Classes

In early January, our 3 Year Old Classes will get to go upstairs to experience some of the excitement of Pre-K at Weekday Preschool. These students will meet our Pre-K teachers and go through a typical Pre-K rotation to see what the big kids do! Teachers will give parents more information about this special day in January!

Chapel with Mrs. Linsey: Fruit of the Spirit

In January, we will talk about the Fruit of the Spirit in chapel. From Galations 5:22, Paul explains these amazing gifts from God we have already recieved:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. "

We can use these gifts to do God's will everyday! Chapel will be a time we talk about missions--helping others with our gifts. To help children connect, we will be encouraging donations to help AFUMC's Souper Supper program which provides meals and supplies throughout the winter and spring months. Your child's teacher will be in touch with an item for the "store" that we hope your child will be able to bring in and contribute to those in need. Weekday Preschool families are encouraged to visit the church's webpage on Souper Suppers (link below) for more information on how to participate as a family.

New "Boo Boo Report" Begins

AFUMC is updating policies and practices relating to "Safe Sanctuaries," our guidance for protecting children and the adults who work with them. In this process, the form we use to nofify you of boo boos, accidents that happen while at school, has gotten a new look. It is slightly longer and allows for more detail to be recorded. It also now requires a parent signature. Please be on the lookout for this form and, should you recieve one, please sign and return it to your child's teacher promptly. Thank you!
