Important Notes
Here are a few important reminders:
- If your child will go home a different way than usual, you will need to write a note. If I do not have a note saying they will go home a different way, I will send them home their normal way.
- Please, please make sure your child has a supply of pencils, paper, and a dry erase marker (black works best).
- Please remember, our day starts at 7:30. Students switch classes at 7:50. Every minute of our day is precious. Thank you.
- SOS - we are in need of antibacterial wipes. If you have any extra just lying around the house, we would be happy to take them off of your hands.
Social Studies Notes
We took a break from our NC studies to discuss some current issues such as the election and Veteran's Day. We will resume with our study of NC this week. We will begin with native people of North Carolina and then progress into the European colonization of our state.
Science Notes
We are well into our study of Electricity and Magnetism. We will begin in depth investigations this week. We will explore how to create circuits with wires, batteries, and bulbs.Don't worry; we have reviewed safety guidelines for working with electricity. Our students are ready to go!
Science Extra Credit
The Moore County Soil and Water poster contest is back! Last week a great deal of information went home with students with details about the contest. This information was in a stapled, blue packet. This is not required, however, it will be the only extra credit opportunity students will have all year for Science. Please take a minute to review the information. If your child decides to take advantage of this opportunity, the deadline for completion is Friday, December 16. No exceptions!
