Letter from the Principal
Greetings PPA students, families, and community,
Time has really flown by!! 2023 is on its way out and we will be moving into 2024. I want to extend my gratitude to all of the students, families, and community for their support for PPA. During this time we have held multiple events: Grateful Luncheon, Community Talks, Paint and Sip Cocoa, and Caregiver Conferences (just to name a few). Students have completed 3 rounds of workshops and have 4 more to go before we close out the school year. Keep in mind that work completion, being in class, and engaging in the learning process will be highly beneficial for scholars to succeed.
As a reminder, the second semester is just around the corner!! Second semester begins on January 23, 2024. As a reminder to scholars, do your very best to finish off strong.
Winter break begins December 23rd and we return on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Enjoy your break!
Take care,
Ms. Sconiers

Ecology: Braiding Sweetgrass. A Book Study.
Students in this workshop have recently been working on a lamp design project using biomimicry. Biomimicry is drawing inspiration from nature to provide function to a project that, usually, makes the project more sustainable. Students created inspiration boards to help them incorporate an aspect from the natural world into function. They provided sketches and reasoning for their designs.
