Blessings in the New Year!

I just wanted to drop into your email to wish everyone a happy new year. I hope our entire St. Ann School Family is enjoying a wonderful Christmas vacation. Thank you to Mrs. Zackavec's kindergarten class for their participation in their starring roles as angels and shepherds during the Christmas Eve Mass.

Classes will resume on Monday morning. It will be wonderful to see everyone again. As I tell the children, when we are all together in the building, great things happen. We give thanks to our Lord for another year filled with faith, learning, new beginnings, and endless possibilities.

American Red Cross Classes Scheduled for PK-8 Students; first class for grades 5-8 is Wednesday.

I am VERY happy to announce that American Red Cross classes will be offered to our students in the next few months. I recently met with a representative of the American Red Cross, Kate, and she will be doing all the grade specific training. The first class will be "CPR and First Aid for Students." The purpose of this student course is to teach students to recognize first aid and cardiac emergencies and take action. Students learn how to give appropriate are for different first aid emergencies and how to perform hands-only CPR. (No breaths.)

There will be no charge to the students for the class or materials.

Please have your children in grades 5-8 wear their gym uniform on Wed., Jan. 6th.
