Residency Verification Process

The district is again contracting with a third party vendor to automatically verify student address information. As was the case last year, we anticipate the overwhelming majority of our families will be electronically verified.

If your residency is electronically verified, you will receive a letter of confirmation and there will be no need to submit any additional paperwork to certify that you live within the district’s boundaries.

A letter will also be sent to families whose residency we are unable to verify electronically. The letter will provide details on additional information you will need to provide during online registration in order to register your child for the upcoming school year.

Verifying residency is an effort to protect taxpayers and district resources by identifying non-residents attending District 204 schools. Illinois law mandates that parents demonstrate residency prior to enrollment in school and allows for periodic verification to validate compliance with the law.

A FEEL GOOD - Giftmart

Because of your time and Young's generous contribution, over 400 children (preschool-5 th grade) from eight local schools were served. Over 3000 toys were collected, and funds raised amounted to over $6500. Each child shopped for received four toys plus one bundled gift. The funds received from the charged fee of $2 per gift was 100% donated back to the participating schools to go towards incentive programs and supplies for the children. The remaining toys from the event were donated to the Hesed House and Giftmart East Aurora. Additional items donated for giveaways were handmade scarves, hats, blankets, stockings, books, trees, as well as tree stands, lights, and ornaments. We are fortunate to live in a generous community with the vision to help our own struggling families receive a hand-up experience allowing them to provide for their children in a dignified manner. We are truly blessed and grateful for your sincere generosity and hard work collecting toys.
