I MAKE A DIFFERENCE AWARD IS BACK!!
Kristin...
Thank you Kathleen for sharing the I Make a Difference award with me. I was so touched! I can’t begin to express how everyone at Parkway has made a difference in my life! From the talented, caring and flexible teaching and support staff to the gracious and top notch office staff, to the efficient custodial staff and lastly the dynamite leadership team, I have been wowed at every turn. The person that I would like to pass the I Make a Difference Award to this week is Jessica Anderson. Starting this summer Jessica has been invaluable to the library program and to me. Working tirelessly to help organize the collection, assist patrons and carry out the vision of developing an inviting place where children read, learn and grow, Jessica shines! Thank you Jessica for making a difference to everyone, every day at Parkway!
TECH TIPS FROM THE TST
Michelle Garner, Technology Support Technician
COMPUTER LAB BASICS – Teachers please remember that the computer lab is to be utilized as a technology hub and an extension of your classroom. There are some general guidelines to adhere to:
Treat the computers with care. Most of the lab computers are very old and need some TLC. If you move the keyboard or mice, replace them to their original locations.
Encourage your students to leave the lab in the condition they find it in. Throw away all trash, push in chairs, and clean up after yourselves.
DO NOT MOVE TECHNOLOGY (ie. Laptops, computers, or chargers).
REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE PROJECTOR WHEN YOU LEAVE!!!! The projector has been left on several times and this reduces the life span of the bulb. If you are unsure of how to use the computer lab projector, please see Mrs. Garner or Mrs. Yesalusky.
Please use the link on the Sharepoint site to sign up for the Technology lab. It is a valuable resource! Thank you.
