3 Big Ideas learned

1. There are 3 different factors that drives ocean currents.

2. Tides that create a current in the ocean, near the shore, and along the coast are called "Tidal Currents"

3. The 3 factors that drives currents are wind, gravity, and thermohaline circulation.

2 Questions I still have

What causes the currents to move a certain direction for a period of time?

Why do some factors only happen in shallow water but some happen in deep?

Extra Question: How are the ocean currents affected by the different factors each time?

1 Way it affects our daily lives

The way the water flows down the street, streams, etc from higher elevation to lower elevation would have to do with currents. It is also essential for maintaining the balance of life on Earth.
