Food web about the desert
Mutalissam
The white-tailed dove and saguaro cactus have a mutualistic relationship. The dove eats the seeds of the cactus. When it leaves, it deposits and spreads the seeds of the cactus around. The cactus benefits from the relationship by getting its offspring spread, and the white-tailed dove receives food.
Commensalism
Commensalism is the relationship between animals when one benefits from the other, but the used organism is effected neither positively nor negatively. The cactus wren uses the cholla cactus to nest in. Because of the cactus' spines, the wren's babies are protected from the predictors.
Paratism
Parasitism is the symbiotic relationship when one organism benefits from the use of the other, who is harmed by the parasite. Ticks are a prime example of a parasite. This tick is surviving off of the blood of a coyote.
How humans impact desert biome
The main cause of this negative effect on deserts is from human interactions. Interactions like driving through the desert, leaving tracks, and destroying vegetation. Also water mining from reservoirs, military exercise(mainly atomic testing), and trenching involved with pipelines of gas, oil, and water have made grounds unstable and almost barren. Theseeffects have caused some animal species to go on the endangered species. This will drastically increase the death rate of the population, and it might wipe out all but a few organisms from the deserts.
Positive way they impact the environment
Although humans have many negative impacts, there are positive effects they have. After wildfires occur, many groups replant organisms that perished in the fire. Humans also have reservations for endangered animals and other threatened species living in the desert. Humans can also have a positive impact by preventing any further damage. One way to do this is by not riding motor vehicles in the desert. This will prevent the tires from running over and hurting plants, animals, and their habitats. A final way that humans ca have a positive impact on the desert biome is by gaining knowledge about the biome.
Scorpion
The scorpion is a secondary consumer . It gets eaten by the jackal and feeds off of blister beetles.
Tarantula
Tarantula is a secondary producer. It gets eaten by a desert hawk. It feeds off a cactus wren.
Brittle bush
A brittle bush is a producer that gives energy to cactus wren and harvest ants.
