Monday Minutes

December 4, 2017

During the month of December, it's so easy to get caught up in the frenzy of work and our personal lives that we sometimes forget to experience joy. I encourage you to slow down, take a breath (or two, or three, or four), and revel in what you have already accomplished this year. Think back to the first day of school. Think back to how well you know your students now. Think about how much they've grown. How much you've grown together. We have a full calendar this month, so be sure to take some time and choose joy!

Thank you for being patient as we work through this mid-year round of MAP testing. We have more this week and next, so buckle your seatbelts and hang on tight! Remember that the goal is progress, not perfection. Use the data to reflect and learn about what each student needs. Let us know how we can help!

We will meet again on December 13th as a staff to continue our book study. This month's assignment is Guideposts 3 and 4, which can be found on pages 63-86. Please read and reflect in Google Classroom before we meet on the 13th.

Finally, we are excited to celebrate YOU! Please find the 12 Days of Holiday Break attached at the bottom of this smore. We have some fun things planned so you definitely want to read ahead!
